Founder
Frank Brewer
Brewer Communications was founded by Frank Brewer in 1993. Frank served in the U.S. Air Force as a Crew Chief on the iconic C130 Hercules aircraft. After service, he worked for C&P Telephone from 1969 through 1984 and AT&T from 1984 through 1991. During his time with these companies, Frank gained the knowledge that helped form the foundation of his new business venture. Frank’s knowledge about the Telecom/Data industry and his drive to deliver quality products and services are what made Brewer Communications the company it is today. Brewer Communications was created with a lot of hard work and the support of his wife, Judy (who performed the bookkeeping and administrative work for the company for 26 years). Frank’s hobbies include fishing in the Chesapeake Bay for rockfish and flounder, using his green thumb to grow a vegetable garden that his friends and family get to enjoy, and playing his guitar at his church and around the community.

Jason Brewer
In 1995, Jason Brewer, having graduated from Radford University, earning his BS in Biology, came on to work full-time for the company to help the growing business and learn a new trade. Jason started as a technician in the field where he was trained to work on many legacy phone systems, IP Hosted voice, and IP video surveillance. He has his MSCE certification from Microsoft, CompTIA Convergence+, and a certificate in Business Strategy from Cornell.
Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, martial arts, blacksmithing, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
Vice President
Matthew Brewer
In 1997, Matthew Brewer started full-time with the business as a technician. While helping grow the business, he learned about carrier services as well as legacy phone equipment. Now Matthew works with our clients, finding the best internet solutions and managed internet services as well as UCaaS across the US. Matthew worked as the District 2 representative for the Goochland County Planning Commission from 2012 through 2024, where he earned the Certified Planning Commissioner designation from the Virginia Tech Land Use Education Program.
Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking with his wife and three sons and coaching the youth on the Goochland Composite Mountain Bike team.
